CAVEAT: Most of the descent shown on this page is drawn from sources such as Roderick Stuart's book,
"Royalty for Commoners," first published in 1988, and which is viewed poorly by genealogists,
and which is discounted entirely by historians. Most descents, like this one, are at best highly speculative.
Two older sources that describe the origin of the Franks, and also provide a descent from Priam are
a 7th-century work known as the "Chronicle of Fredegar" and the anonymous "Liber Historiae Francorum,"
written a century later. Neither of these works is accepted by historians as trustworthy.
Any attempt to trace genealogies earlier than about 1100 A.D. rapidly turns into the
pursuit of mythology, folklore and legend, so it is not with any serious academic intent
that I display this page, or similar descents from antiquity. They are provided here as
simple novelty, and as a reference for such folklore, in illustrating and understanding
"Who?" an author may be referring to, within in the various cinematic films or novels in
which they may be encountered.
